About Us
Your Child Is In Great Hands
Philosophy
Luma Autism primarily serves children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. Our main objective is to help each child achieve independence, preparedness and success with the aim of transitioning children out of therapy and into their natural environment.
At Luma, we prioritize early intervention as it offers children the best chance to lessen the effects of Autism that may likely impact the child's development and learning ability. We provide our team of professionals with ongoing training and learning opportunities to ensure they are able to design a successful path individualized to each child.

This encompasses various aspects such as socialization, academics, functional communication and behavioral therapy. Early intervention unlocks a world of possibilities for both children and their families.

The fundamental purpose of Luma Autism is to offer expert care and preparation to every child, irrespective of their diagnosis. Our primary objective is to guide each child towards a successful transition out of therapy. To achieve this, we closely collaborate with children and parents to create an individualized plan grounded in research, evidence and supplemented with care and support. It is through this approach that every child at Luma Autism can reach their fullest potential, gaining newfound confidence and independence along the way.
Natural Environment
Every day, your child will work closely with their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and supervised by their Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to develop and master a diverse range of skills. These include self-help skills, functional communication skills, social skills, independent play skills, classroom skills and more.
Additionally, children at Luma Autism will have many opportunities to engage in small peer groups where they can work on skills like sharing, turn-taking, and group learning with typically developing peers through Luma Montessori.

Our physical environment resembles a classroom rather than a clinical environment. With an open floor plan and educational materials distributed throughout the space, it creates a setting as a modern daycare classroom. This environment helps children feel at ease and promotes both learning and personal growth.
Parent Support
When a child is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, it has an impact on the entire family and raises numerous questions. At Luma Autism, our mission is to actively involve parents in their child's therapy, ensuring a seamless experience that promotes continuity and consistency for the entire family. We recognize that these factors are essential in fostering confidence and growth in both the child and the parents.

Parents maintain regular meetings with their child's therapy providers to receive progress reports and training. These sessions aim to equip parents with the knowledge and confidence to effectively implement therapy techniques within their home and community settings.
